School Helped Develop Journalism Education in Eastern Europe

As the Cold War ended with the fall of the communist Soviet Union, American University was founded in Bulgaria. Shortly thereafter, the Missouri School of Journalism helped AUBG officials establish a school of journalism and mass communications.
By helping establish a school of journalism at American University in Bulgaria (top), the School helped spread democracy and a free press to graduates in Eastern Europe (bottom).
