Lee Hills Endowed Chair Established

The Lee Hills Chair in Free-Press Studies was endowed to encourage research and scholarship in free-press issues domestically and internationally.

Lee Hills (top) began his lifelong affiliation with the School as a student from 1927-1929. A staunch supporter of a free press, Hills later served as a reporter for the Cleveland Press (center) and editor/publisher of the Miami Herald and Detroit Free Press. Stuart Loory, former CNN vice president, assumed the chair.
