2002
Prestigious Fellowships Announced
|
In 2002 the Tina Hills Fellowship for Latin American Journalists was created, part of a long-term program to expand relations into Central and South America. In 2008 the White House Correspondents' Association selected Missouri as one of nation's top three journalism programs for its graduate fellowship program in government affairs reporting.
The Tina Hills (top left) Fellowship for Latin American Journalists, established in 2002, was awarded first to Marina Walker Guevara, MA '05 (top center), followed by María Inés Miró-Quesada, 2005-06 (top right). The WHCA fellowship offered students governmental affairs reporting experience in the professional environment of the nation's capital.
