Son Venezuela Son Venezuela
Son Venezuela is a nine-piece ensemble that was voted "Best Latin Band" in the 2007 Pitch Weekly Music Awards. The group was a hit when it made its first Columbia appearance in October 2007 at the Jazz Series' popular fundraiser, the Annual Downtown Columbia "Jazz, Wine & Beer" Pub Crawl. Son Venezuela has been together nearly 15 years and has garnered attention and critical acclaim throughout the Midwest and beyond with its sellout crowds and lively Latin dance and music performances.
