This is Your Brain on Media: Producing Media for the Mind in a Digital Age    [Print This Page]
  • Time: 12:15-1:30 p.m.
  • Date: Thursday, Sept. 11
  • Place: 200-A Reynolds Journalism Institute
Media professionals involved in research or content production will want to attend this session highlighting research-based insights into the psychology of powerful media messages. The dawning of the digital media age has brought about exciting changes in content production and delivery, but effective communication continues to depend on content that captivates and connects with the human mind. Join the leaders of the School's PRIME Lab (Psychological Research on Information and Media Effects) to gain a practical understanding of how the human mind processes media content based on cutting-edge research conducted in the lab. Leaders will share insights gained from online, television and radio research and how they can be translated into production techniques that can lead to messages that effectively communicate with the intended audience.

Follow Up "Meet the PRIME Lab Directors" Session
Paul Bolls, Glenn Leshner and Kevin Wise will be available after this session for small group meetings to tour the PRIME Lab, answer follow-up questions and discuss specific research needs attendees might have.
