Two opportunities based on "The Front Page," the award-winning Broadway comedic play about journalists, will challenge participants to think about the ethical issues reporters face.
In this morning session, cast members of Columbia's Maplewood Barn Theatre will perform scenes from "The Front Page" to highlight the ethical issues that speed, the scoop and Web-first content raise for journalists. Audience members will be encouraged to participate in the discussion.
Those attending the celebration can enjoy a full afternoon performance of the play at the Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts, the city's cultural arts venue on Ninth Street. A free ticket to this event, which begins at 2 p.m. on Thursday, is included for all registered guests.
