Degree and Year: BJ '79 (News-Editorial) Company: U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division Company Web Site: http://www.usdoj.gov/atr/ Title: Trial Attorney City and State: Dallas, Texas What do you do? I am a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division in Dallas, Texas. I have served two details as a Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas. Prior to joining the Department of Justice, I worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and in private practice. I graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1985, where I was a member of the University of Tulsa Law Journal. I have served on the board of editors of the Oklahoma Bar Journal, and recently I published an article on antitrust criminal enforcement in the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal. What is the best professional lesson you learned at the J-School? J-School was great preparation for law school, particularly the news-editorial sequence because I found that it required students to sharpen their critical thinking ability and to focus on facts. What is your favorite J-School memory? One of my favorite Missouri Journalism memories is carrying the class banner as steward for the graduation ceremonies in May 1979.
