Jeff Neu, BJ '02

What do you do in your current job?
I implement strategic plans and provide public relations counsel to a number of clients that Weber Shandwick represents, including MasterCard, Energizer, Newell Rubbermaid (DYMO, Sharpie, EXPO), Medicine Shoppe and NHRA.

What do you like best about your job?
I have the opportunity to work with a young, creative and forward-thinking group of professionals. We're constantly learning from each other and finding new and improved ways of helping our clients. We have a very laid-back environment, where I can wear jeans and a T-shirt to work, but the final product we send out is of the utmost professional quality.

How did you get your job?
As an undergraduate, I worked at the MU News Bureau, and after graduation I was an intern at Fleishman-Hillard in the marketing department. One of my former colleagues, whom I kept in contact with over the years, joined Weber Shandwick and recruited me to work there as well.

What has been your greatest achievement in your career so far?
In less than five years, I have worked for two major public relations organizations. I started out working for a news bureau at a large university, and then I transitioned to one of, if not the, top public relations firms in the world.
