Name: Natalie Hammer Noblitt
Degree and Year: BJ '00
Company: Fancy Food & Culinary Products Magazine
Company Web Site: http://www.fancyfoodmagazine.com/
Title: Editor in Chief
City and State: Chicago, Ill.

On her career:
As editor in chief of Fancy Food & Culinary Products magazine, I cover the retail segment of the gourmet food industry. I serve retailers in the gourmet industry by helping them stay on top of food trends, as well as improve their businesses. I have always had a passion for food, so my current position is a perfect fit for me.

On her Missouri Journalism education:
My degree not only taught me the basics of journalism, but also the importance of the trade media. Don Ranly taught us that every industry is its own community worth reporting on, and I've found this to be true. Fancy Food is the third trade publication I've worked on since graduation, and every industry I've covered has been a unique reporting opportunity and chance to learn.

On getting her first job:
The magazine program's combination of design and journalism study has served me well. I landed my first job in trade publishing through an internship I found during a Magazine Club job fair while at Mizzou.
