Post Positions

The Journalism Career Center can help employers tap into the rising talent found in Missouri School of Journalism students. The Career Center sends a weekly e-mail update of open jobs and internships to all Missouri Journalism students during the regular semester. To post an open internship or full-time position, contact Phou Sengsavanh, assistant director of career services.

After posting the position, the Career Center can also help with scheduling information sessions or interviews and forwarding information to other campus resources:

View Resumes

Several online campus resources offer employers the opportunity to search, sort and view resumes of upcoming and recent MU graduates. Missouri Journalism students are encouraged to post their resumes online through resources such as:

Contact Phou Sengsavanh, assistant director of career services, to learn more about viewing student and alumni resumes.

Intern Policy

Students who wish to complete an internship for credit must meet the requirements found on the Internships for Journalism-Sequence Students page. Students not desiring course credit are free to complete internships as designated by the employer. For more information about internship policies, contact Phou Sengsavanh, assistant director of career services, or e-mail the Student Services office:

Other MU Career Resources

While there are many commercial career search engines out there, several on-campus resources exist to provide personal support during the job search and recruitment process.
