It may just be a microphone, but journalists can't function without it. From television and radio broadcasters doing live shots in the field to print reporters recording comments in press conferences, microphones are essential to gathering the news. At Missouri, students take this raw news and use high-tech design and editing labs, Macintosh computers and cutting-edge software to package news in an easy, up-to-date format for the audience.
