ALICE FISHER serves as the marketing coordinator for the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, where her primary duties include office support, fund-raising activities, donor relations and grant writing. She has worked at the University of Missouri in various capacities since moving to Columbia in 2002. Most recently a conference coordinator at the MU Conference Office, Fisher also has served in the Regional Programs division of the Office of Development. In addition to working on MU's $1 billion capital campaign, she worked with The Chancellor's Fund for Excellence and the Residence on Francis Quadrangle restoration project.
From 1992 to 2001, Fisher served as the manager of meetings and travel services for Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. in Springfield, Mo., and in Kansas City, Mo. She directed the corporate in-house travel agency, managed three full-time agents and orchestrated 48 events per year.
Fisher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Southwest Missouri State University.
