CARRIE M. PADEN serves as Executive Director for the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, she directs all aspects of the operation, including, managing the human and financial resources of the association, planning and implementing an annual conference, workshops, the website, a semi monthly newsletter and the best in business contest.

Previously, as Executive Director of the American Council on Consumer Interests (ACCI) hosted by the University of Missouri-Columbia from September 1999 until August 31, 2002. She directed all aspects of ACCI, a non-profit 501c(3) organization with 1500 members from 30 countries.

Prior to ACCI, Ms. Paden managed the administrative, programmatic and fiscal activities of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's National program office for the Generalist Physician Initiative program. Ms. Paden directed and managed the administration of the Dialysis Clinics Incorporated of Mid-Missouri and served as the acting Director for the Missouri Kidney program a state funded organization designed to meet the needs of end stage renal diseased patients in the state.

She holds a Masters degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Services Management, from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and in Computer Information Systems, from Columbia College.
