SCOTT SCHAEFER, BJ '04, is an Emmy award-winning photojournalist at KOMU-TV, the broadcast lab for the Missouri School of Journalism. He also serves as live-truck operator for KOMU and as adjunct faculty for the School.

His duties include shooting franchise pieces such as "Sarah’s Stories," "Coverage from Callaway," "Follow-Up Files," and the "School Report." Schaefer also shoots for "Friday Night Football" and "This Week in Mizzou Football," and he has freelanced for NBC Sports.com and Entertainment Tonight.

Schaefer assists students with all aspects of their reporting and helps them prepare stories for newscasts. He plays the piano and organ and has worked as organist for the St. Louis Cardinals since 2006. Schaefer's numerous awards for photography include two 2007 Mid-America Emmys and the 2006 Region 7 "Top Ten" award from the National Press Photographers Association.
